Quarry Operative / Supervisor

About the role

Breedon Group plc is seeking a motivated Quarry Operative/Supervisor to support the Quarry Manager in delivering safe and efficient quarry operations. You will play a key part in overseeing daily production, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with other site departments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Quarry Manager with safe and efficient management of quarry activities.
• Support production and extraction planning, ensuring targets are met.
• Conduct risk assessments, health and safety inspections, and promote a zero‑harm culture.
• Prepare reports, maintain records, and manage procurement and budget control.
• Identify and resolve technical problems on‑site.

Required profile

• Experience in the extractive industry with a solid understanding of quarry processes.
• Strong focus on health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to plan and organise work efficiently.
• Good interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
