RE Teacher – Full‑time (Maternity cover)

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a qualified RE Teacher to join a high‑achieving, Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school in Barnet from September 2026. The position covers a maternity leave and offers an immediate start with interview and trial days arranged promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess Religious Education lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Develop an engaging, challenging curriculum that meets statutory requirements.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the RE department and wider faculty to ensure a cohesive teaching approach.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to departmental planning.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching RE at secondary level, preferably Key Stage 3‑4.
• Strong subject knowledge and commitment to professional development.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude towards teaching and learning.
