Real World Evidence (RWE) Expert – Temporary Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Real World Evidence (RWE) Expert to lead the design, delivery and communication of global RWE projects for a leading pharmaceutical client. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will manage studies from concept through to publication, generating evidence that informs healthcare decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver RWE studies covering epidemiology, natural history, disease burden, care pathways, unmet need and real‑world effectiveness.
• Develop study concepts, protocols and statistical analysis plans while ensuring quality, governance and milestone compliance.
• Lead secondary data analyses and provide expertise for primary data collection initiatives.
• Collaborate with academic partners, external vendors, medical experts, statisticians and analysts to produce high‑quality research.
• Interpret findings and communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Recommend robust methodologies and data sources, championing best scientific practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering RWE projects using primary and/or secondary data in pharma, consultancy or academic settings.
• Strong understanding of epidemiology, outcomes research and real‑world study methodologies.
• Experience developing study protocols, statistical analysis plans and managing study governance.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects to timelines and budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• PhD in Epidemiology, Outcomes Research or a related discipline is advantageous, especially with rare‑disease or patient‑generated data experience.

• Competitive hourly rate up to £40.38 (PAYE) or £55.87 (Umbrella) inside IR35.
• Six‑month minimum contract with the possibility of extension.
