Receipts, Procure & Pay Technician – Temporary Full‑Time

About the role

We are looking for a Receipts, Procure and Pay Technician to join the Thames Valley Police shared services team in Kidlington. This temporary full‑time position (37 hours/week) offers a hybrid working pattern and a competitive hourly rate of £16.20.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Receipts, Procure and Payments shared‑service function, maintaining accurate supplier and customer records.
• Process invoices and credit notes by entering or scanning them and ensure compliance with data‑retention rules.
• Administer aged‑debt collection, liaise with debtors and work to reduce outstanding balances.
• Verify that all orders and payments adhere to financial policies and regulations.
• Provide technical support for bank accounts and assist with timely banking of income payments.

Required profile

• Proven ability to manage and prioritise workloads to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies or potential fraud.
• Experience working in a team environment with a flexible approach to achieving goals.
• General knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Procure‑to‑Pay processes, including VAT and CIS.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
