Reception & Office Administrator (Maternity Cover)

About the role
We are looking for a professional, organised, and reliable individual to provide temporary reception and office support during a maternity cover period in our London office. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, staff and clients, ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of the office.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the reception desk, greet visitors, handle sign‑in procedures and direct guests appropriately.
- Answer, screen and route incoming telephone calls with a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs, reception records and keep the reception area tidy.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support across multiple departments, including handling post, couriers and deliveries.
- Perform data entry, maintain filing systems and ensure proper records management.
- Assist with diary coordination, meeting arrangements and preparation of documents, presentations and correspondence.
- Support general office duties such as printing, photocopying and scanning.
- Demonstrate awareness of health, safety and security procedures and escalate issues when needed.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a reception, front‑of‑house or office support role.
- Strong administrative skills with experience supporting multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
