About the role
An inclusive primary school in Lambeth is looking for an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team from September. You will help create a nurturing, child‑centred environment where pupils thrive during their first year of formal education.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support pupil progress.
- Monitor and assess children’s development, keeping accurate records.
- Support the transition of children into Reception and prepare them for Key Stage 1.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in Early Years, preferably in a Reception setting.
- Nurturing, creative, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine passion for early childhood education.
