Reception Teacher – Primary School (Camden)

About the role

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden is looking for an enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join its Early Years team from September 2026 on a permanent basis. The role involves creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating classroom where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum.
• Support children’s early literacy, numeracy, communication and personal development.
• Complete observations and assessments to monitor progress and plan next steps.
• Create a safe, stimulating and well‑organised classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the Early Years team to provide outstanding provision for all children.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within the EYFS, ideally in a Reception class.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and early child development.
• Ability to deliver creative, play‑based learning.
• Confidence in assessing progress and using observations to inform planning.
• High expectations for learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Commitment to an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.
