Reception Teacher – Supply & Long‑Term Opportunities in Ramsgate

About the role

Hays Education is partnering with several primary schools in Ramsgate to recruit enthusiastic Reception Teachers. The positions are available on a supply basis as well as for longer‑term assignments, with an immediate start date. You will help young learners begin their educational journey in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, child‑led lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Create a safe and stimulating classroom where pupils feel valued and motivated to learn.
• Assess and support each child’s academic, social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and school leadership to promote positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards QTS.
• Experience teaching in EYFS or Reception settings.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation.
• Ability to build inclusive, nurturing learning environments.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYFS curriculum requirements.
• Classroom management techniques.
• Effective communication with children, parents and staff.
