Receptionist & Admin Assistant – Primary School (Barking)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly Receptionist & Admin Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Barking & Dagenham. The role starts in September 2026 and involves supporting the day‑to‑day running of two school sites.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and direct telephone calls.
• Welcome parents, visitors and staff to the school.
• Perform general administration and data‑entry tasks.
• Maintain accurate school records.
• Support the wider office team with day‑to‑day administrative duties.
• Provide excellent customer service to parents and visitors.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months recent experience in a school office or reception environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and school administration systems.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
