Receptionist – Maternity Cover (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and proactive Receptionist to cover a maternity leave at our flagship hotel in Edinburgh. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth and memorable stay from check‑in to check‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage check‑in and check‑out procedures efficiently.
• Answer guest queries promptly and provide accurate information about rooms, rates, and hotel facilities.
• Promote hotel services and up‑sell amenities to maximise occupancy.
• Maintain compliance with security, fire safety and health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Handle telephone calls, reservations and basic administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Passionate attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Exceptional customer‑service mindset – able to make guests smile.
• Strong team player who can work well under pressure.
• Competent level of IT proficiency.

Required skills

• IT proficiency (basic computer and hotel‑system skills).
