Recruitment Consultant – Financial Services (Warm Desk)

About the role

Ortus PSR is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join its Bristol‑based team, focusing on financial planning and investment management. You will inherit a warm desk of active candidate relationships and industry contacts, allowing you to start billing quickly while also building your own client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and nurture relationships with business owners, heads of department and C‑suite leaders across the IFA and investment management sector.
• Advise clients on market conditions, talent strategy and recruitment structures, handling difficult conversations when needed.
• Source, engage and manage a pipeline of experienced financial services professionals.
• Generate new business alongside the existing warm desk.
• Promote Ortus PSR’s product range, from exclusive assignments to retained search.

Required profile

• Proven recruitment experience in any sector (financial services knowledge is a plus).
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders, including owners and C‑suite executives.
• Consultative, relationship‑first mindset with resilience to prospect and nurture leads.
• Professional and credible manner suited to the financial services market.
