Recruitment Consultant – Trainee or Experienced

About the role

Join a specialist recruitment consultancy in Watford as a Recruitment Consultant. Whether you are starting your career or have previous experience, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed in permanent, temporary and contract staffing.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to generate new business leads and build client relationships.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media, referrals and networking.
• Screen, interview and shortlist candidates for client vacancies.
• Negotiate agency fees and prepare candidates for interviews.
• Assist with candidate onboarding and manage executive headhunting assignments.
• Advertise vacancies and manage job postings across multiple platforms.
• Meet individual and team performance targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• Strong relationship‑building ability and a passion for sales.
• Ambitious, resilient and driven to hit targets.
• Previous sales experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.

• Competitive base salary of £22,000‑£30,000 plus commission.
• On‑target earnings of £40,000‑£50,000.
