Recruitment Resourcer – Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

Connolly Ltd is seeking a proactive Recruitment Resourcer to join its Operations Department in Wigan. You will own the end‑to‑end hiring process for trade and labour positions, building strong talent pipelines that support the company’s growth in the social housing refurbishment sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full recruitment cycles for skilled trade and labour vacancies.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media, referrals and direct outreach.
• Develop and maintain talent pools for current and future workforce needs.
• Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and hiring priorities.
• Screen, assess and shortlist applicants, coordinating interviews, offers and onboarding.
• Promote Connolly as an employer of choice within local communities and industry networks.
• Produce recruitment reports, KPI dashboards and market intelligence.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, right‑to‑work checks and IR35 regulations.
• Support continuous improvement of recruitment processes and candidate experience.

Required profile

• Organised, motivated and passionate about matching people with opportunities.
• Previous experience in recruitment or resourcing, preferably within construction, property services, engineering or facilities management.
• Proven ability to recruit for trade, labour or operational roles.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and best‑practice recruitment processes.
