Refrigeration Engineer

About the role

Join one of the UK’s leading providers of commercial kitchen installation and maintenance services to the premium hospitality sector. As a Refrigeration Engineer you will deliver high‑quality maintenance and repair services for prestigious hotels and restaurants across Central London, Greater London and the Home Counties.

Key responsibilities

• Attend breakdown call‑outs and carry out repairs on all types of commercial refrigeration equipment used in hospitality.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and scheduled servicing of refrigeration systems.
• Work both collaboratively within an established field engineering team and independently on day‑to‑day call‑outs.
• Interact directly with on‑site clients, including facilities managers, client‑side engineers and kitchen staff.
• Follow a shift pattern of 6 am–2 pm, choosing either early or late shift, and travel door‑to‑door without timesheets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fault‑finding, repairing and maintaining commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Valid F‑Gas certification.
• Hands‑on experience with a range of hospitality refrigerants (e.g., R290, R134a, R32, R404a, R600a).
• Familiarity with both localised/self‑contained and remote condenser/centralised system types.
• Strong diagnostic ability across multiple manufacturers and equipment types.
• Confident client communication and competent use of Field Service Management software on a mobile device or tablet.
• Excellent time‑management, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
