Refrigeration HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Refrigeration HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver to operate temperature‑controlled articulated vehicles on night shifts across the UK. The role starts mid‑July, with flexible shift patterns and the possibility of progressing to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles equipped with refrigeration units.
• Complete all paperwork and electronic records accurately and keep them up to date.
• Record breaks and working hours in line with the Working Time Directive.
• Follow agency and client safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and quality in all deliveries and collections.
• Communicate effectively with customers, clients and operations teams to ensure smooth service.
• Deliver assigned tasks within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Digital tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points on the licence.
• At least 1 year of experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles.
• Good knowledge of the UK motorway network and Working Time Directive regulations.

Required skills

• Operation of refrigeration‑controlled HGVs.
• Digital tachograph usage.
• Understanding of WTD compliance.
• Route planning on UK motorways.
