Refuse Driver – HGV with CPC – Chelmsford

About the role
We are seeking a reliable Refuse Driver to join a temporary team in Chelmsford. You will operate an HGV to collect household waste and recycling, ensuring safe and courteous service for residents and businesses.
Key responsibilities
- Collect residential waste and recycling across Chelmsford.
- Load bags, wheelie bins, recycling bins and boxes onto the vehicle.
- Operate the lifting mechanism to tip waste into the lorry.
- Report any issues encountered during collections.
- Assist waste‑collection operatives as needed.
Required profile
- Physically fit and able to handle manual loading tasks.
- Team‑oriented with a professional, polite attitude toward the public.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing work circumstances.
- At least 2 years of HGV driving experience (preferred but not essential).
- Valid HGV licence and CPC card.

What we offer
- Hourly rate of £17.76.
- Full‑time temporary contract (37 hours/week, Tuesday‑Friday).
- Potential overtime depending on workload.
