About the role
We are seeking reliable Refuse Loaders on an ad‑hoc, temporary basis to support waste collection operations in Chertsey. The role involves early‑morning shifts, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and requires a high level of physical fitness.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the collection crew on daily waste rounds.
- Load glass, plastics, garden waste and household refuse safely and efficiently.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Be on standby during the working week and respond to short‑notice calls, attending the depot within one hour.
Required profile
- Physically fit and able to walk up to 10 miles per day.
- Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team.
- Own transport or local residence is essential due to early start times.
- Previous waste‑handling experience is desirable but not mandatory.

What we offer
- Hourly pay between £12.79 and £13.17.
- Provision of safety boots, hi‑visibility clothing and other required PPE.
