Refuse Loader – Temporary (Ad‑hoc) – Chertsey

About the role

We are seeking reliable Refuse Loaders on an ad‑hoc, temporary basis to support waste collection operations in Chertsey. The role involves loading various types of household waste onto collection vehicles and may require early starts, especially during hot weather.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the collection crew on daily waste rounds, loading glass, plastics, garden waste, or general household waste safely and efficiently.
• Operate in all weather conditions while following health and safety procedures.
• Maintain punctuality by attending the depot within one hour of a short‑notice call‑out.
• Ensure personal protective equipment such as safety boots and hi‑visibility clothing is worn at all times.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to walk up to 10 miles per day.
• Reliable, flexible and able to work as part of a team.
• Own transport or residence within the KT16 area to meet early start times.
• Previous waste‑handling experience is desirable but not essential.
