Regional Care Assistant

About the role

As a Regional Care Assistant with Barchester Healthcare you will provide warm, empathetic and respectful support to residents across a 20‑mile radius from Harrogate Hill, Darlington. You will help residents enjoy meaningful one‑to‑one time each shift while ensuring their health and wellbeing are monitored.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor delivery of care during each shift.
• Contribute to person‑centred care planning for each resident.
• Record vital observations such as temperature and blood pressure.
• Provide companionship and support, ensuring meaningful one‑to‑one interaction.
• Travel across the designated area, using your own vehicle or provided access.

Required profile

• Previous experience in care, with a good understanding of elderly care.
• Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care (desirable).
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (desirable).
• Dedicated, compassionate and willing to go above and beyond for residents.
• Own car or reliable access to a vehicle for travel.
