Regional Clinical Development Nurse

About the role

As a Regional Clinical Development Nurse you will lead and support the clinical governance across nine Barchester care homes in Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire, Northampton, Gosmore, Melbourn and St Peter in Jersey. You will work closely with the Regional Director and senior staff to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained and continuously improved.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse monthly clinical governance data and KPIs for each home.
• Develop and implement practical strategies to meet regulatory requirements and improve care quality.
• Provide clinical mentorship to newly‑qualified nurses and support senior clinical staffing.
• Organise training programmes and lead clinical investigations as needed.
• Collaborate with improvement specialists to address identified issues.
• Travel regularly across the region to support each care home.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration.
• Demonstrated experience working in a care home environment.
• Evidence of continued professional development and strong knowledge of regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop nursing staff.
• Analytical mindset with strong leadership and relationship‑building skills.
