About the Role
Join Mears as a Regional Health and Safety Manager, a pivotal leadership position covering our Crawley and Exeter branches. You will play a key role in driving safety excellence across both construction and non-construction activities, ensuring a secure environment for all employees and subcontractors.
Main Missions
- Provide expert advice and support to operational and administrative teams regarding SHE standards.
- Implement and enforce all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance with company systems and report non-conformities to management.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and produce detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate with Branch Managers to resolve safety issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Foster a robust safety culture and contribute to the overall corporate SHE strategy.
- Deliver formal safety training to staff members.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a regional SHE management role.
- Strong ability to influence and build relationships with clients, staff, and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Must hold a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel regularly between Crawley and Exeter.
- A Level 3 training qualification is highly desirable.
