Regional Health & Safety Manager

About the role

This is a senior, UK‑wide position leading health and safety across multiple high‑value, mission‑critical construction projects. You will join a fast‑growing main contractor operating in data centres, pharmaceuticals, logistics and advanced manufacturing, driving a proactive safety culture in fast‑track, high‑pressure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee health & safety on several live projects nationwide.
• Lead and support site‑based H&S advisors and managers across the region.
• Promote a proactive safety culture from operatives to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, company standards and client expectations.
• Review and approve RAMS, permits and high‑risk activity documentation.
• Conduct site audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with construction, commercial and project leadership to influence safe delivery.
• Support project mobilisation and demobilisation from an H&S perspective.
• Report H&S performance, trends and improvements to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior or regional H&S role within construction or mission‑critical environments.
• Background on large‑scale projects such as data centres, pharma or major industrial builds.
• Ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously and influence diverse teams.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away as required.

Required skills

• Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) development and review.
• Permit‑to‑work systems for high‑risk activities.
• Health & safety auditing and incident investigation.
