Regional HR Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to join our North region team as a Regional HR Advisor. Reporting to the Regional HR Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to managers across multiple sites, delivering practical HR solutions and supporting employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line HR advice on absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Coach managers on HR processes, options and best practice to enable effective decision‑making.
• Support formal employee‑relations meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow‑up.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and organisational standards are applied consistently across all sites.
• Promote fair, timely and well‑documented people‑management practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and share best practice within the HR team.
• Maintain accurate employee‑relations records and action trackers.
• Monitor trends in absence, attrition and employee‑relations activity, highlighting risks and recurring issues.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee‑relations cases in an operational or multi‑site environment.
• Confidence to coach and influence managers at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Ability to analyse trends and provide meaningful people insights.
• Willingness to travel across multiple sites in the North region and a valid UK driving licence.
• Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
