Regional Operations Director

About the role

The Regional Operations Director will lead the operational performance, quality and strategic development of Kingsley Healthcare’s East region portfolio. Reporting to the Co‑Chief Operating Officer, you will provide visible, hands‑on leadership across a cluster of homes in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care while delivering strong commercial results.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational oversight for all care homes and services within the East region.
• Support, coach and develop Operations Managers to meet regulatory standards and deliver outstanding care.
• Conduct regular structured visits to maintain a visible leadership presence.
• Lead the operational response to quality or compliance concerns in partnership with the Group’s Quality team.
• Ensure all homes achieve or maintain CQC ratings of Good or Outstanding and drive continuous improvement in care quality and resident experience.
• Oversee preparation for CQC inspections and manage the response to regulatory findings.
• Own regional occupancy, revenue and EBITDA targets, working closely with Business Development and Sales teams.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience within the care home or broader health‑care sector.
• Proven ability to drive a culture of high‑quality, person‑centred care.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting occupancy and financial targets.
• Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and quality improvement processes.
• Hands‑on, visible leadership style with strong coaching and development skills.
