Regional People Advisor – Retail

About the role

We are supporting a fast‑growing, people‑focused retail business that is looking for a Regional People Advisor. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be the primary HR partner for a defined retail region, working closely with store and regional managers to keep teams engaged, supported and high‑performing.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for all HR queries across the assigned region.
• Coach and up‑skill Store and Regional Managers on performance management, absence, conduct and employee relations.
• Manage employee‑relations cases from investigation through resolution, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
• Support investigations, disciplinary processes and complex people matters.
• Drive engagement, retention and development initiatives within stores.
• Contribute to succession planning and talent conversations for the region.
• Analyse people data to identify trends and propose practical, commercial solutions.
• Champion the company culture, values and HR best practices across the patch.

Required profile

• CIPD qualified (or working towards qualification).
• Proven experience in a retail or multi‑site environment, preferably at regional level.
• Strong employee‑relations knowledge with confidence to handle cases independently.
• Comfortable travelling across the region and building face‑to‑face relationships.
• Practical, approachable and commercially aware.
• Enjoys being visible in stores and partnering with operational leaders.
• Empathetic yet able to exercise sound judgement.
