Regional Sales Manager

About the role

Our client, a global leader in industrial automation, connectivity and IIoT solutions, is seeking a commercially‑driven Regional Sales Manager. This field‑based position will focus on nurturing existing customer relationships and generating new business across the South West England territory.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen relationships with existing customers while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
• Plan and execute a structured programme of customer visits across the assigned region.
• Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals, contracts and commercial agreements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities to drive sales growth.
• Provide after‑sales support, including product demonstrations, trials and technical evaluations.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts and activity reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to relay market feedback for product development and pricing strategy.
• Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, customer events and industry forums.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years successful sales experience in industrial automation, IIoT, connectivity or related technical sectors.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage key accounts.
• Strong relationship‑building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a field‑based environment.
• Highly organised with excellent planning and time‑management abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Automation or a related field.
