Regional Sales Manager – South West England

About the role

We are seeking a confident Regional Sales Manager to lead a team of ten Area Sales Managers across the South West of England. You will be responsible for driving sales, profit and new‑business growth while ensuring customers receive an excellent experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of Area Sales Managers to achieve targets.
• Develop and maintain strong B2B relationships with top customers.
• Create and monitor customer action plans, using performance data to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with the Area Director to boost under‑performing sites.
• Identify new product and sales opportunities and build supplier relationships.
• Manage administrative duties, budgets and reporting.
• Work with head‑office functions such as Marketing, Commercial and Credit Control.
• Lead local sales initiatives, including trade mornings, blitzes and campaigns.
• Re‑engage low‑spend or dormant customers to generate new business.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience, preferably within construction, building‑materials or merchant environments.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and act on insights.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Willingness to travel within the South West region.
