Regional Trainer – Security Operations (South Wales & South‑West England)

About the role

The Regional Trainer will work closely with the Court Security Director, Head of Security Operations and other senior stakeholders to design, deliver and maintain practical training solutions for staff across South Wales and South‑West England. The role involves regular travel, including occasional weekend trips and overnight stays, with all costs covered by the employer.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and update contract‑specific training materials that address skill and learning gaps.
• Deliver a range of training courses defined in the contract’s skills matrix to all relevant staff.
• Collaborate with HR, Learning & Development and operational leads to prioritise training activities and ensure compliance.
• Support the apprenticeship pipeline by promoting enrolment and advising on levy spend.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and provide regular updates on training progress.
• Liaise with internal departments to obtain sign‑off for newly created training content.

Required profile

• Recognised training qualification (e.g., Level 3 AET, CIPD or equivalent).
• Hands‑on experience delivering training in an operational security environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout South Wales and South‑West England.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent.
• First‑Aid Instructor qualification (desired, not mandatory).
• Enhanced Physical Intervention qualification (desired, not mandatory).
