Registered General Nurse – Full‑time, Southend‑on‑Sea

About the role

Shaftesbury is seeking a Registered General Nurse to join the Kenway Court residential care home in Southend‑on‑Sea. This permanent, full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) provides nursing support to adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality clinical care, including assessments, medication administration and care‑plan implementation.
• Monitor and evaluate residents’ health status and respond to changing needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure person‑centred, flexible support.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with NMC standards.

Required profile

• Valid NMC Pin and ability to provide registration details.
• Experience working with adults who have complex health and disability needs.
• Commitment to the values of openness, inclusion and courage.

Required skills

• Medication administration.
• Clinical assessment and care planning.
• Documentation and record‑keeping in line with regulatory standards.
