Registered Home Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Home Manager to lead a specialist children’s home in Milton Keynes. The home provides care for children with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, global delay and other complex needs, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the home and its staff to deliver high‑quality care for children with mental health and special needs.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted, Children Home Regulations and all relevant standards.
• Recruit, train and develop a dedicated team of care professionals.
• Oversee assessment, planning and delivery of individualized care plans.
• Maintain safeguarding practices and promote the safety and well‑being of every child.
• Manage the home’s budget, allocating resources efficiently.
• Implement quality‑assurance processes for continuous service improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Manager or Deputy Manager in a similar residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards governing residential childcare.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Passion for supporting children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment.
