Registered Learning Disability Nurse – Band 7

About the role

Join Sea Lodge, a specialist nurse‑led supported living service on the Northumberland coast, and provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to adults with learning disabilities and complex health needs. As a Band 7 Registered Learning Disability Nurse you will combine clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities in a beautiful coastal setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily shifts, offering clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team.
• Plan, deliver and review person‑centred care that promotes independence and wellbeing.
• Assess risk, manage complex situations and support positive outcomes.
• Coach, mentor and supervise support staff to ensure exceptional care delivery.
• Develop and maintain relationships with service users, families and partner professionals.
• Contribute to care planning, service development and continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Current RNLD registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Post‑registration experience in learning disability services.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and relevant legislation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and high standards of nursing practice.
