Registered Manager – Children’s Home

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a brand‑new flagship children’s home in Warrington. The service will provide trauma‑informed care for children with complex needs and profound learning disabilities, offering you the chance to shape the home’s culture and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day running of the home in line with the Statement of Purpose and provider’s care approach.
• Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance, including Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.
• Lead, supervise and develop the staff team through regular supervision, appraisals and training.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, external professionals and ensure a stable, therapeutic environment.
• Participate in the on‑call rota and ensure effective emergency response.

Required profile

• Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People – Residential Childcare.
• Minimum two years’ experience managing a children’s residential service.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and social‑care legislation.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• Understanding of trauma‑informed care models.
• Experience with safeguarding procedures.
• Familiarity with Ofsted inspection processes.
