Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Therapeutic Care)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a newly opened Ofsted‑registered children’s home in Kingsbury, London. The home provides specialist therapeutic care for up to 12 young people aged 11 to 18 who have experienced complex trauma and abuse.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the home operates in full compliance with the Children’s Home Regulations and Quality Standards 2015.
• Implement the Statement of Purpose and oversee daily operations, safeguarding, and therapeutic practice.
• Develop, supervise and delegate tasks to a multidisciplinary staff team.
• Work closely with the Responsible Individual, commissioned psychologists and therapists to deliver therapeutic programmes.
• Participate in on‑call duties and maintain strong relationships with external agencies and Ofsted inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in residential children’s care.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
• Recent Ofsted rating of “Good” or “Outstanding”.
• Strong understanding of therapeutic practices, including PACE.

Required skills

• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
• Ability to develop and implement therapeutic care plans.
• Leadership and team‑development capabilities.
