Registered Manager - Children's Homes

About the role

The Registered Manager leads a 5‑bed children’s home, ensuring a safe, supportive environment for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will oversee daily operations, staff performance and compliance with Ofsted standards, helping residents achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the children’s home, maintaining high standards of care and safety.
• Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team, including care staff, psychologists and occupational therapists.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies.
• Oversee admissions, referrals and discharge planning for new residents.
• Monitor and support the emotional and educational progress of each young person.
• Maintain accurate records, budgets and reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in residential child care or a similar setting.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.
• Ability to work under pressure and make informed decisions.

What we offer

• Base salary £51,331‑£63,553 per annum.
• Total package up to £73,808 per annum, including a 30 % long‑term incentive.
