Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a 3‑bed children’s residential home in North West London. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, child‑centred care to young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, working within a supportive organisation committed to excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Ofsted registration and ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership, overseeing care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies.
• Lead, motivate and develop the residential care team, promoting a therapeutic, trauma‑informed approach.
• Manage safeguarding processes, audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee staffing, budgets and resources to achieve a safe, stable and nurturing environment.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals and families.
• Drive the home towards achieving and maintaining an Ofsted ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ rating.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent Ofsted‑recognised qualification).
• In‑depth knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and manage budgets.
• Commitment to delivering therapeutic, trauma‑informed care for young people with EBD.
