Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead one of our children’s residential homes in Wigan. This senior leadership position is responsible for delivering high‑quality care, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and fostering a supportive environment for both staff and young people.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and maintain the highest standards of care.
• Lead, develop, and support a dedicated care team.
• Manage the home’s budget and financial performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with placing authorities and external partners.
• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements and act as the responsible individual for inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ management experience in a children’s residential setting.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or progressing towards it).
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted inspection frameworks and relevant legislation.
• Compassionate, confident leader focused on the welfare of young people.
