Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role

An established children’s residential care provider is looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) home in Chipping, Preston. You will shape a stable, nurturing environment, build a strong residential team and make a genuine difference to young people’s lives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the home, ensuring a safe and structured setting.
• Lead, motivate and develop the residential care team, promoting best practice.
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards and all statutory requirements.
• Monitor care quality, staff performance and drive continuous service improvement.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, social workers and external professionals.
• Prepare the home for inspections and work towards outstanding outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years in a senior role within children’s EBD care.
• Previous leadership experience in a children’s residential setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations.
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Willingness to obtain or hold a Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Salary £55,000‑£63,000 per year (DOE) plus bonuses up to £6,000.
