Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Southport. This full‑time, permanent position offers the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children while guiding a dedicated care team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and quality standards.
• Promote positive outcomes for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Lead, motivate and develop the residential care team through effective supervision.
• Embed safeguarding procedures throughout the service.
• Monitor care plans, risk assessments and placement outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement and support the home’s growth.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Children’s Residential Manager.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted requirements and Children’s Homes Regulations.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
