Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Lancashire)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a well‑established 6‑bedroom children’s residential home in Lancashire. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, child‑centred care to a young person with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Ofsted registration and ensure ongoing compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational leadership, fostering a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Lead, motivate, supervise and develop the residential care team.
• Implement trauma‑informed, safeguarding‑focused care practices.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support strategies and placement stability.
• Monitor quality assurance, conduct audits and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage staffing levels, budgets and resources effectively.
• Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals and families.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Strong knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and safeguarding requirements.
• Passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
