Registered Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead high‑quality teams supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. Based in Southwark with travel to nearby locations, you will ensure excellent care, regulatory compliance and promote independence for service users.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop support teams to deliver person‑centred, high‑quality care.
• Maintain CQC standards across locations and prepare for inspections.
• Promote independence and help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Oversee safe management of health needs, medication, finances and safeguarding.
• Support Deputy Registered Managers, Team Managers and wider staff.
• Manage recruitment, induction, staffing levels and workforce development.
• Control budgets and resources to ensure financial sustainability.
• Build positive relationships with families, commissioners and external professionals.
• Maintain accurate records, investigate incidents and resolve issues promptly.
• Act as safeguarding lead and champion continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a CQC‑registered adult social care location.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
• A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or progressing towards it).
• Experience of budget, staffing and operational performance management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using electronic care management systems.

What we offer

• Salary £35,000‑£40,000 per year plus £2,600 London weighting.
• Full‑time contract – 37.5 hours per week.
