Registered Manager – Residential Childcare (Aylesford)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a residential children’s home in Aylesford, Kent. This senior position offers the chance to shape culture, inspire a high‑performing team and deliver outstanding care for up to four young people.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for day‑to‑day leadership and performance of the home.
• Ensure young people receive exceptional emotional and physical care.
• Build, lead and develop a passionate, values‑driven staff team.
• Embed a culture of collaboration, transparency and continuous learning.
• Drive compliance across safeguarding, health & safety, finance and governance.
• Oversee induction, supervision and appraisal processes to elevate staff performance.
• Contribute to the wider senior management team and strategic growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a children’s residential home (or similar) within the last 5 years.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
• At least 1 year of experience managing staff in a relevant care setting.
• Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare (minimum).
• Prepared to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide references.
• Strong leadership, resilience and emotional intelligence.
• Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
• Dual registered manager experience is a bonus.
