About the role
This permanent position is for a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD to work in a low‑secure mental health hospital serving adults with mental illness and personality disorders in the Ayr area.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑standard, patient‑centred care to individuals with mental health and personality disorders.
- Develop therapeutic relationships to encourage patient engagement and recovery.
- Contribute to comprehensive patient assessments, care planning and ongoing monitoring.
- Lead shifts, mentor student nurses and support the multidisciplinary team.
- Adhere to all professional codes, legislation and ethical standards.
Required profile
- Qualified RMN or RNLD with a current, active NMC PIN.
- Commitment to patient‑centred, evidence‑based practice.
- Strong self‑motivation, flexibility and a collaborative team attitude.
- Willingness to pursue continuous learning and professional development.
Required skills
- Clinical nursing competence in mental health settings.
