Registered Mental Nurse – Southleigh Community Hospital

About the role

We are seeking a caring and dedicated Registered Mental Nurse to join Southleigh Community Hospital, a Level 2 rehabilitation facility supporting adults with enduring mental health needs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to help residents regain confidence, develop life‑skills and move towards greater independence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including medication administration and treatment delivery.
• Monitor and assess residents’ health, wellbeing and progress towards personal goals.
• Develop, implement and regularly review individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with families, care professionals and external agencies to ensure coordinated support.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.

Required profile

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and hold a valid PIN.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar mental health or rehabilitation setting.
• Understanding of physical disabilities, respite care and the needs of younger adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of CQC regulations and safety standards.
