Registered Nurse – Bank (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to provide maternity cover at Purley Gardens Care Home in Surrey. You will act as the person in charge, stepping in for the manager when required, and ensure the highest standards of care for our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medication, dressings, catheterisation, and tube feeding.
• Manage chronic medical conditions and carry out comprehensive assessments.
• Communicate changes in residents' conditions to families and GPs.
• Supervise and deploy care staff to ensure all duties are completed during shifts.
• Develop and implement care plans in line with best practice.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration and a First Level nursing qualification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in residential care.
• Post‑basic studies or additional qualifications related to elderly care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a care team.
