Registered Nurse – Elton House Care Home

About the role

Join Avery Healthcare’s award‑winning team at Elton House Care Home in Watford as a Registered Nurse. You will work a 12‑hour shift (8 am‑8 pm) delivering high‑quality, compassionate care to elderly residents in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the person in charge, covering the Manager when required and ensuring standards of care are maintained.
• Administer medication, perform dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and manage chronic medical conditions.
• Communicate changes in residents’ condition to families and GPs, keeping them informed and involved.
• Supervise and deploy care staff, ensuring all tasks are completed during the shift.
• Conduct accurate assessments and develop care plans to meet residents’ needs.

Required profile

• First Level nursing qualification with current NMC registration.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in elderly or residential care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
