Registered Nurse – Functional Assessor (Full/Part Time)

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus you will apply your clinical expertise to evaluate how disabilities or health conditions impact daily living. You will work with complex cases that span physical, mental health and chronic pain, helping customers move forward.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments for individuals with physical, mental health or chronic pain conditions.
• Analyse how health conditions affect daily activities and produce detailed reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate recommendations.
• Provide compassionate support to customers throughout the assessment process.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• Minimum one year post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing, in NHS or other settings.
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using computer software to produce detailed written reports.
