Registered Nurse - Headington Care Home

About the role

Headington Care Home, a purpose-built nursing home in Oxfordshire offering 24-hour care and support for older adults, is looking for a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin number. The home's mission is to enhance the lives of its residents through high-quality care and services. The role includes deputy manager responsibilities such as working within agreed budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve a high standard of care and lead the care team to deliver outcomes for residents
• Maintain effective verbal and written communication, reporting accurately on residents and informing the senior care team of day-to-day changes
• Manage wounds and ensure care procedures follow policy
• Order, administer and record medicines according to policy and statutory requirements
• Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) and physical, emotional and spiritual comfort
• Carry out staff supervision and appraisals, implement agreed changes to routine and procedures, and complete the duty rota
• Assess residents, carry out internal quality audits and take part in staff training and development
• Assist the manager to work within agreed budgets

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin number
• Willingness to work in a 24-hour care setting
