Registered Nurse

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our award‑winning team at Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield. The role involves acting as the person in charge, stepping in for the manager when required, and delivering high‑quality care to our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medication, perform dressings, catheterisation and tube feeding.
• Manage chronic medical conditions and conduct accurate assessments and care planning.
• Communicate changes in residents’ condition to families and GPs.
• Supervise and deploy care staff to ensure all duties are completed during each shift.
• Stand in for the manager and uphold high standards of resident care.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration with a First Level nursing qualification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience in a care setting.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge supported by relevant post‑basic studies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Understanding of care planning and its practical application.
