Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

Join Avery Healthcare’s award‑winning team at Southampton Manor Care Home as a Registered Nurse on the night shift. You will act as the person in charge, stepping in for the manager when required, and ensure the highest standards of care for our residents during the night hours.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medication, perform dressings, catheterisation and tube feeding.
• Manage chronic medical conditions and provide accurate patient assessments.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to families and GPs.
• Supervise and deploy care staff, ensuring all duties are completed.
• Develop and implement care plans, maintaining high standards of documentation.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration with a First Level nursing qualification.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in residential care.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of care supported by post‑basic studies or qualifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to instruct care activities.
• Sound understanding of care planning and its practical application.
