Registered Nurse Nights

About the role

Highgate Care is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the night‑shift team at Springfied Manor in Stoke‑on‑Trent. This permanent part‑time position involves 12 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends, delivering person‑centred care in a supportive care‑home environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of care in line with each resident’s care plan and NMC guidelines.
• Provide clear hand‑over reports to ensure continuity of care across shifts.
• Supervise junior care and ancillary staff to promote an efficient, homely atmosphere.
• Report resident ill health and arrange GP or professional visits when required.
• Complete, review and update individualised care plans on a bi‑annual basis or as needed.
• Conduct regular health assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medication, perform dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and manage chronic medical conditions.
• Liaise with health‑ and social‑care professionals to ensure holistic resident care.
• Adhere to the NMC Code of Conduct and maintain maximum integrity in all resident interactions.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualified and currently registered with the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Willingness and ability to work night‑shift hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Strong commitment to delivering person‑centred, compassionate care.
• Ability to work autonomously while supporting junior staff.
